In brief
- Linkeat organises networking dinners for entrepreneurs and freelancers in Paris, with 6 to 8 guests per table.
- The service is free according to its website. You pay your share at the restaurant, stated as €45 to €55.
- Tables are put together by an algorithm, based on a profile you fill in when you sign up.
- A good choice for a first dinner with no commitment. Less suited if you want a fixed date or a lunch.
Linkeat is one of the new professional dinner clubs in Paris. This page brings together what is known about the service from its website and public sources, without dressing it up or running it down. Two points to be clear about: we have not attended a Linkeat dinner, so this is not a first-hand account; and the club that publishes this journal offers a similar format.
Linkeat: the facts
Here is what the Linkeat website shows at the time of writing.
- Founders: Adam Davidovic, an artificial intelligence engineer who designed the matching algorithm, and Antoine Auffray, former chief technology officer (CTO) of Dixner, who now runs a product studio.
- Audience: “entrepreneurs”. The description of the service also mentions freelancers.
- Frequency: dinners every week, in small groups.
- Table size: 6 to 8 guests, with a maximum of 8.
- Venues: partner restaurants in Paris. Two are featured: Le Sirocco, serving Moroccan food in the 13th arrondissement, and Ty Louis, serving Breton food in the 12th.
- Price of the service: €0, with no membership fee or subscription.
- Price of the meal: €45 to €55 for a set menu negotiated for the club, paid on the spot by each guest.
- Hosting: an ambassador from the network welcomes guests and leads the dinner.
The link with Dixner, the network of dinners among strangers, comes through one of the co-founders. The website does not present Linkeat as a subsidiary of Dixner.
How you join a table
The process has four steps, described on the home page.
- You create a profile and answer a few questions about yourself and the people you would like to meet.
- When your profile matches a table, Linkeat contacts you with a date.
- If the date does not suit you, you decline it. You will be offered another table later.
- You come to the dinner and pay your share at the restaurant.
The time between signing up and a first invitation depends on the tables being put together, as with most clubs of this kind.
How much a Linkeat dinner costs
The sum is simple: €0 for the service, €45 to €55 for the meal. There is nothing to pay in advance.
To compare with other dinners among strangers or among professionals in Paris:
| Service | What you pay | Table size |
|---|---|---|
| Linkeat | €0 for the service, €45 to €55 at the restaurant | 6 to 8 |
| Dixner | Menu and drinks included in the ticket; €80 per person according to the press in 2025 | 6 to 10 |
| Timeleft | A subscription or a ticket, then your meal on site | 4 to 6 in Paris |
| Tablez Club | €15 booking online, deducted from the bill; everyone pays for what they had | 8 to 10 |
Being free has an obvious advantage: you can try it at no risk. It may also have a downside: with no paid booking, nothing stops a guest from cancelling the day before. The website’s FAQ raises the question of cancellations, with no answer published on the page.
Strengths
- No upfront cost. You only pay for what you eat.
- Small tables. With 6 or 8 people, everyone talks to everyone. You do not spend the evening shouting over the music.
- Clear ground rules. The website sums it up this way: no badge, no standing pitch.
- Someone looks after the table. An ambassador welcomes guests and liaises with the restaurant.
- Flexibility. You can decline a date without losing your place in the queue.
Limits to be aware of
These are not observed flaws, but points the website does not cover, or not yet.
- Few venues shown. Two restaurants are featured at the time of writing.
- A single format. The website talks about dinners. Nothing about a lunch, a workshop or a daytime meeting.
- Matching with little detail. It is described as “inspired by dating apps”, with no public list of criteria.
Who Linkeat suits
Linkeat is a good fit if:
- you want to try a professional dinner without paying anything upfront;
- your evenings are free and you are happy to accept a date you are offered;
- you mainly want to meet other entrepreneurs, without a very specific goal.
It is less suited if:
- you prefer to pick your date from a calendar;
- your evenings are busy and a lunch would suit you better;
- you want to know in advance why you have been placed at that table.
Alternatives to Linkeat
Dixner. The Parisian pioneer of dinners among strangers. Tables of 6 to 10, an ambassador present, menu and drinks included in the ticket. The setting is social before it is professional.
Timeleft. Dinners among strangers in more than 200 cities. In Paris, tables bring together 4 to 6 people, on Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm. The stated aim is to make friends, not clients.
Tablez Club. Our own club, in the interest of transparency. The differences from Linkeat are concrete:
- by application: every request is read before the first table (submit an application);
- tables put together around goals: finding clients or partners, or simply getting out of isolation;
- announced dates: dinners take place on Thursday evenings and upcoming tables are published on upcoming tables;
- lunches on Tuesdays at 12:30 pm, for 6 to 8 guests, lasting 60 to 75 minutes (the lunch format);
- a monthly masterclass with 30 places, on topics such as “selling when you’re starting out” or “negotiating your price”;
- a €15 ticket online, which confirms the booking, then the bill split at the restaurant.
The details of how it all works are on how it works.
