Frequently asked questions
What people ask before they apply. Yours isn't here? Write to us.
How does it work?
You apply, we invite you when a table suits you, you book your seat online (€15, taken off your bill) and you come.
How much does it cost?
€15 to book, taken off your bill at the restaurant. The rest depends on what you order, at menu prices: in the bistros we go to, a starter and main or a main and pudding comes to between €28 and €38. No subscription, no membership fee.
Who's at the table?
Independents and entrepreneurs based in Paris, many of whom work alone. When we put a table together, we take into account what each person is looking for: clients, a business partner, or people to talk to.
Why do I have to apply?
Because at a table of ten, leaving it to chance goes wrong too often. Your answers help us bring together people who have things to say to each other. We reply to every application within seven days, including when it’s a no.
What happens at a dinner?
You arrive at 7:30 pm and Milena greets you at the restaurant. Everyone introduces themselves in twenty seconds, then we sit down to eat. Allow two and a half hours, coffee included.
I won't know anyone. Does that matter?
Nobody knows anybody. That’s the point, and nobody brings a friend along. For the first five minutes everyone is a little shy and crumbles their bread. Then the starters arrive and it wears off.
Can I turn down an invitation?
Yes, without giving a reason. An invitation is a date we’re offering you. If it doesn’t work, we’ll offer you another.
What happens if I don't turn up?
If we don’t hear from you, the ticket is lost, and after two no-shows without warning, we stop sending invitations. If you let us know, that’s different: your seat is refunded in full up to 72 hours before, and after that you can still pass it on to another member or move it once, as long as you tell us at least 24 hours before.
And the lunches?
Six to eight guests, on Tuesdays at 12:30 pm, for 60 to 75 minutes. You’re back at work before 2 pm.
Is the club open to employees?
It’s mainly for independents and entrepreneurs. If you’re employed and about to leave to set up on your own, apply and say so.
Who runs it?
Three people, in Paris. Milena puts the tables together, chooses the restaurants and greets you at dinner. Julien runs the monthly masterclass. Maxime looks after the website, and comes to dinner when he can.
What do you do with my data?
We use it to put tables together and send you invitations. We don’t sell it. The restaurant gets the number of guests and your first names, nothing else, and our providers (hosting, payment, email) only handle it for their own task. One email is enough for us to delete it. The details are in the privacy policy.
Are there tables outside Paris?
Not for now. The club started in Paris in 2023, and all its tables are still here.
How long until my first table?
The first invitation usually arrives within a month of our reply. It depends on the tables we’re putting together and on your neighbourhood.
Can I have an invoice?
Yes, for the booking ticket: it arrives by email. For the meal, ask the restaurant for a receipt, since everyone pays their own.
Is wine included?
No, everyone orders what they want to drink and pays for it. A juice or the carafe of water is fine. Nobody counts the glasses.
Vegetarian, allergies, special diet?
Mention it in your application or when you reply to the invitation. We’ll tell the restaurant ahead of time.
What happens if the table isn't full?
A table goes ahead with six guests or more. Below that, we postpone it and let you know at least three days before. You then choose between a refund and moving your seat.
