A living room, twenty-five seats
One Wednesday a month at 7 pm, usually at the home of a club member who lends us their living room (sometimes a studio, or an office). Twenty-five people is the size of a living room once you push the coffee table back: some on the sofa, the rest on chairs that don’t match. Julien, the co-founder who runs these evenings, spent twenty years selling, at agencies and then on his own. He brings a quote or a chaser email, takes it apart with you, then answers questions. People stay for a drink afterwards.
The topics
- Where to find your first clients when you don’t have a network yet.
- Setting your price, and not dropping it the first time someone says “that’s a bit steep”.
- Signing with a large company when you work alone.
- Turning down a job.
The topic for each session arrives with the invitation. To suggest one, write to us.
For active members only
That means anyone who has already shared a table with us. We stop at twenty-five: any more, and questions from the back no longer make it as far as the sofa.
What it costs
Nothing. Everyone pays for their own drink afterwards.
