A Thursday, a long table
Eight to ten people, a table booked at the back of a neighbourhood bistro, a paper tablecloth. Milena greets you and does the introductions. She waits until the conversation catches, then slips away.
Who you’ll be sitting next to
We read every application in full, LinkedIn included, and put the table together by hand. A lawyer goes opposite the craftsman who has just signed his first shop lease, rather than next to another lawyer. We mix ages and genders too.
We don’t tell you who’ll be there. You find out who your neighbours are as you unfold your napkin.
The evening, hour by hour
- 7:30 pm: you arrive, and everyone introduces themselves in twenty seconds.
- 8 pm: dinner, from the menu or the chalkboard.
- 10 pm: coffee, and the bill.
What it costs
- €15 to book online, taken off your bill.
- At the restaurant, you pay for what you have, usually €28 to €38 for a starter and main or a main and pudding.
- No subscription.
Who it’s for
For anyone who spends the day alone in front of a screen and fancies, one Thursday, having dinner with nine others. And for founders who have done the rounds of the business clubs and brought back a stack of business cards from each.
