How it works

Tables seat eight to ten on Thursday evenings and six to eight at Tuesday lunchtime, in Paris.

1. You apply

Ten minutes, four sections: you, your work, what you’re looking for, then a few questions about your tastes (what you do for fun, three words to describe you, a dinner you still remember) so we know who to seat you next to. Your LinkedIn profile is required: we check that you are who you say you are. The organiser uses your profile photo to recognise you at the door, and nobody else sees it. You’ll hear back within seven days, yes or no.

2. We invite you

Dinner and lunch dates aren’t published anywhere: we put a table together, then we invite. When one suits you, you get an email with a date, a time, a neighbourhood and a format. If you’re not free, say no without giving a reason and we offer you the next one. The first invitation usually arrives within a month of our reply. We don’t tell you who’ll be there.

3. You book your seat

€15 online, taken off your bill. We charge it so booked seats get filled: a table of ten with two people missing shows from the doorway. The restaurant’s address arrives four days before. There’s no subscription: you only pay for the seats you book.

Something come up? Your seat is refunded in full up to 72 hours before. After that, you can still pass it on to another member or move it once, as long as you tell us at least 24 hours before.

4. You sit down

You walk into a neighbourhood bistro, and a long table is waiting at the back. Milena greets you on Thursdays, someone else from the club on Tuesdays. Everyone introduces themselves in twenty seconds, no pitch, then we leave you to it. At the end, everyone pays for what they had, usually €28 to €38 for a starter and main or a main and pudding.

After your first table

If a conversation got cut off, suggest a coffee the following week. From your first table, you’re an active member: you get invitations first, and you can come to the monthly masterclass, on a Wednesday at 7 pm, often in a member’s living room.
